Pics are finally revealed from Nicole Richie and Joel Madden's extravagant wedding thanks to the German tabloid In magazine.

Spectators reported seeing an elephant enter her fathers Beverly Hills estate where the ceremony was held on December 11th, but here is Nicole with her ginourmous guest!

The lovely pictures were shot by Yvette Roman, a former rock photographer, who has transitioned into a wedding photographer for the wealthy and elite.

Nicole looks lovely in her wedding dress next to her lovely elephant.

The two seem to really hit it off together.

We LOVE elephants, but have to admit, we'd be a little nervous with a big trunk sniffing around our bazillion dollar wedding dress!

We wish Nicole and Joel the best as they embark upon their new lives together.

We also hope to see this big, beautiful elephant pop up at more celebrity weddings!

Now THAT'S what we call a wedding!

Apparently people were baffled when they saw an elephant wearing an elaborate headdress entering Lionel Richie's Beverly Hills estate last Saturday where Nicole Richie and Joel Madden exchanged vows!

But why? After all, we are in Hollywood, people!

While an elephant isn't exactly traditional, it is pretty sweet.

Looking back on past interviews with Richie, we can totally see that an elephant has always been a part of her dream wedding!

Back in 2005, while engaged to marry DJ A.M. a.k.a Adam Goldstein, she told guest host Ryan Seacrest on Larry King Live! all about her wedding plans, saying:

"I want to have a very, very big wedding. I want it to be very extravagant. I want like hundreds of people and elephants…and a horse and carriage."

Why an elephant you ask?

"Because elephants are really good luck," Richie explained. "And they're beautiful animals. You don't think?"

As a matter of fact, we have to agree!

Her inspiration came from the Eddie Murphy classic Coming To America, in which Murphy's African prince character has a huge, lavish wedding with all sorts of animals, including elephants.

"I want it bigger than that," Richie added.

While reports say her wedding may not have been as big she explained back in 2005, as it was a slightly more low-key black tie event, it was probably still a pretty nice way to tie-the-knot.

According to a guest, "It was awesome!"

It better have been. There was a freakin' elephant!

Amazing! What a FABOOSH home away from home for our little friends with fur!

Los Angeles will soon be graced with a brand-new, super luxurious dog hotel - HIGHlariously named The Barkley!

The 32,000 square foot establishment, which is being built in Westlake Village and set to open on October 25th, will feature not only a salon and spa, but also a limousine service!

Sources claim that the hotel's grand opening will feature a red carpet event, and celebrity pets will get their own version of Grauman's Chinese Theater, and will get to have their paw prints cemented and decorated outside the building!

Invitations have been sent to the Maniston, Brit Brit, Paris Hilton, Rihanna, and Nicole Richie!

Ha! We LOVE it!
