Fiery tennis champ Serena Williams wants to stretch her acting chops!

Williams, who guest-starred on NBC's E.R. back in 2005, is hoping for the chance to shine in front of the camera yet again.

Says Williams: "I really enjoy acting. I like being in front of the camera. I think I should be an action star. I always wanted to die in acting and then I died (in E.R.) and I was miserable!"

Serena believes her "dying in acting career" is over, and it's time to move onto action!

"I can do a real mean chop and kick," brags the tennis star. "…And I can jump high and run fast and cartwheel."

Maybe if the whole acting thing doesn't work out for her, Serena can move on to stunt work?

Just sayin'!

The stars came out in force Monday night to support the Miami Dolphins in their season opener against the Indianapolis Colts at the Miami Land Shark Stadium.

In attendance were the Dolphin's new part-owners, the lovely Gloria Estefan and her hubby Emilio Estefan.

Also at the game was Jennifer Lopez accompanied by her hubby, Marc Anthony.

The couple also became a minority partner in the Dolphins back this summer and it seems they're taking their new role seriously. In fact, Skeletor told reporters they just purchased a condo in Miami.

Says Anthony, "I bought a condo today in Miami. When we are through decorating the condo, it will be the sexiest place in town! We are not selling our homes in New York or Los Angeles, we are just adding Miami. Now that I am involved with the Dolphins, I am busy working and see a different set of stresses than I experience being a father. So I want to be close by. And we love Miami."

Also in attendance was new part-owner Serena Williams, her sis Venus Williams, Tiger Woods, Jimmy Buffett, Dan Marino, T-Pain, and others.

Though despite all the star power at the stadium, the Dolphins still managed to lose 27-23.

We hope all the new part owners didn't invest too much!

Serena Williams Flips Her Shiz And Takes It Back!

Repenting diva in action!

After her outburst toward a courtside judge at the U.S. Open, Serena Williams visits Good Morning America to promote her new book and set the record straight.

I "really just lost control," said Williams. "As a competitor and as someone who's really passionate about their work, I got a little over-excited."

The temper tantrum began when the judge ruled that her foot crossed the line during a serve, which resulted in a double fault.

"I feel like taking this [expletive] ball and shoving it down your [expletive] throat," she shouted as she approached the line judge pointing her finger and throwing out more expletives.

The tennis star was fined $10,000 for Sunday's rant and penalized the final point in her semifinal match against Kim Clijsters. Depending on the investigation by tournament officials, more punishment may follow.

Serena noted that the call was over a mistake she hadn't made all year and "I just thought, 'What's going on?'" But, she does feel remorse for the judge who did not deserve such aggressive treatment.

Adding, "I felt like I wanted to give her a big hug, obviously after the whole tirade was over. And tell her, you know, 'I'm sorry.'"

Williams has learned from the lessons of her past and posted an apology on her website after the Sunday outburst.

She said:

"I want to amend my press statement of yesterday, and want to make it clear as possible - I want to sincerely apologize FIRST to the lines woman, Kim Clijsters, the USTA, and tennis fans everywhere for my inappropriate outburst. I'm a woman of great pride, faith and integrity, and I admit when I'm wrong.

I need to make it clear to all young people that I handled myself inappropriately and it's not the way to act — win or lose, good call or bad call in any sport, in any manner.

I like to lead by example. We all learn from experiences both good and bad. I will learn and grow from this, and be a better person as a result."

Amen, sister!

Just Stay Positive Says Serena

wenn5349295serena.jpg

The hot-tempered Serena Williams has written a blog entry in promotion of her new autobiography, the aptly titled On the Line.

Although Serena's outburst at the U.S. Open semifinals on Saturday night was jarring to most, do U think she has what it takes to be an inspiration to many???

Serena writes:

The thought of the weight I carry can sometimes be paralyzing, to some, but for me, I enjoy it. I enjoy being told I'm too fat to win, or my career is over - I've seen my glory days. This is what everyone was saying about me publicly, in papers, quietly at home. But as Maya Angelou said, "And still I rise."

In my book "On the Line" it focuses on my fall from grace.

At the time in 2003, I had it all. Fame, friends, companies ready to sponsor me, grand slams wins. I hardly ever lost. Until it all came crashing down.

It started with surgery. Will I be able to play again? No one knew that my quadriceps muscle had completely detached from my knee. The doctors had to re-attach it.

Then came the tragic violent death of my sister.

Losing is synonymous to my life on & off court, which often leaves me on the line. But the loss of my sister made me wonder, is tennis even worth my time?

In bed and inconsolable, I did not know where to turn.

In a search for clarity, as a people, we search for the letters, letters that form words, words form expression. I could find no clarity.

All I knew is I had it all, and now - now I was at the bottom of the bucket- could I rise again? Did I even want to rise?

Growing up with my family was an experience I would love to do again. I was the youngest of 5 girls, so I pretty much got my way and got anything I wanted - which you will read in the book all the "younger sister" things I did. To sum it up, I was BAD. I never thought that my life would take me to where I am now, and how grateful I have been to be apart of something so cool, so amazing.

I never thought I would be winning so many matches.
I never thought I would travel the world.
I never thought I would play and do something I adore so much for money.
I never thought I would have to fall from the mountaintop to appreciate everything.
I never thought my faith would be tested.
I never thought I would have to tell my mom, that her daughter, my sister is dead.

There are many things I never thought I would even share with you all, but I really put it all on the line.

It will help you understand me, who I am. I am human, I make mistakes. I'm not a robot and I can't win them all. I don't even want to, because losing helps you appreciate being alive!

In my book "On the Line," I want everyone to not only enjoy it, but I would like everyone to learn from it- how to stay strong when it seems like everyone is pulling against you.

How to stay positive, how to pull through. Because in the end, there is a light that always gets brighter- you just have to keep reaching for it.

Xxx,
Serena Williams

What An Outburst! Serena Williams Suffers Meltdown At US Open

Serena Williams exploded on a judge at the U.S. Open semifinals on Saturday night!!!!

The official called Williams out on a foot fault during her match against Kim Clijsters, which set Serena off BIG TIME.

Instead of continuing on with the game, the tennis champ made her way over to the line judge and bitched her out!!!!

Williams reportedly said, "If I could, I would take this … ball and shove it down your … throat and kill you", all while shaking her racket and a tennis ball at the judge!!!!

What!!!!!!

The line judge immediately relayed Serena's outburst to the umpire and tournament referee, but Williams ran over to the three of them and tried to claim she never told the judge she said she'd kill her!

Williams was penalized with a point penalty, and unfortunately the point cost her the game!

Explains tournament ref Brian Earley: "She was called for a foot fault, and a point later, she said something to a line umpire, and it was reported to the chair, and that resulted in a point penalty. And it just happened that point penalty was match point. It was a code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct."

Damn!

Serena revealed in a press conference afterwards that she used to have a "real temper" which used to be waaaay worse than her unprofessional display of poor sportsmanship on Saturday.

We believe it!

Serena Williams has played the game and now she has found her match with rapper Common.

Over a year later and she is just still all about her bald boyfriend and the pair still find themselves in that lovey-dovey stage. She told reporters to expect to see her fella in the stands of the annual US Open tournament in NYC this week, cheering on his lady.

She says “He will be there for the Open, supporting me. He’s really supportive!”

Concentrate on the game, girl!

Love maybe forever, but you've only got yourself a few more years to play this tennis thing up.

Don't let them go to waste!
