Scooter Braun Was 'Really Shocked' About Taylor Swift's Open Letter!

Taylor Swift Scooter Braun ghosted

Talk about bad blood!
Scooter Braun is apparently still reeling from his very public fight with Taylor Swift more than a week ago when she posted a scathing open letter via Tumblr hours after it was announced the super-manager had bought up her music catalog from her old recording company.

And according to sources who spoke this week to Us Weekly about the ongoing situation, time has not (yet) healed any wounds as Braun is STILL shocked about Swift’s negative response to his Big Machine purchase, and the pair STILL hasn’t been able to privately talk about it at all.
The source revealed (below):

“Scooter has tried to reach Taylor though multiple channels. He was really shocked at her response. Scooter won’t be commenting publicly about this… He wants to have a private, direct conversation with Taylor.”

Wow!
Of course, maybe this is to be expected, considering how strong of a reaction the 29-year-old singer had when she learned Ariana Grande‘s manager was the one who purchased her catalog.
Remember, in her open letter, the You Need to Calm Down songstress basically laid out all that was at stake for everyone to see, writing (below):

“I learned about Scooter Braun’s purchase of my masters as it was announced to the world. All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I’ve received at his hands for years … Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it.”

Yeah, not exactly the words of someone who is ready to forgive quickly! And knowing that, it’s more than understandable why Tay has yet to reach out to Scooter through back channels. Of course, maybe it’s also more than understandable to see why that reaction shocked Braun so much, too — it’s definitely a strong one!

The source goes on to reveal more about the purchase, too, contending T. Swift actually may have had an opportunity to buy up her own music from record label head Scott Borchetta before her apparent nemesis swooped in (below):

“The potential sale of Big Machine, and Taylor’s renegotiation with Big Machine were widely reported and in that entire process. Taylor didn’t reach out once about wanting her masters.”

Hmmm… That sounds like something, but call us skeptical, because as we previously reported, T. Swift’s own lawyer Donald Passman rebutted that directly and completely with this little statement (below):

“Scott Borchetta never gave Taylor Swift an opportunity to purchase her masters, or the label, outright with a check in the way he is now apparently doing for others.”

Yeah, so, kinda hard to purchase your master recordings when you’re never given the opportunity, right?!

Regardless, the big story here is the one with Scooter. Have these two burned a bridge forever? Will the pop star ever reach out privately to Braun, as he apparently wants?! SHOULD she even reach out privately, or stay strong and stay guarded??
Sound OFF about everything Scooter-Taylor related in the comments (below), y’all!!!
