Avril Lavigne is (kinda) breaking her silence on her split from Mod Sun with her latest outfits!
Just days after calling off her engagement to the musician (which was apparently a shock to him until reports made headlines), Avril made an appearance at Paris Fashion Week with not one but two statement pieces!
On Tuesday, the Sk8er Boi singer shared a series of black-and-white photos to Instagram while wearing a version of Vetements‘ Hidden Message Blazer. Avril used the aptly titled clothing to send some cryptic messages about how she’s feeling amid her complicated love life right now, with the phrases including:
- “unbreak my heart”
- “trust your instincts”
- “every day is a chance to be better”
- “be patient good things take time”
…all littered across the blazer.

On Wednesday, the 38-year-old singer also attended the Courrèges show in another Vetements look — this time an oversized t-shirt that read:
“I’m not doing s**t today.”

OK. These are definitely reactions to her romantic drama, right!? Also, we can’t help but notice that she’s doing all of this in the City of Love — AKA where she got engaged to Mod in March 2022! She’s really come full circle here!
Her clothing wasn’t the only surprise sighting of the week, either! Tyga was also in attendance — and they even shared an intimate moment at one of the fashion shows!
As we’ve already reported, Avril and Mod’s breakup drama began shortly after the Complicated vocalist was spotted with the rapper at a Malibu Nobu late last month. Sources insisted they’re just friends, but hanging out twice in such a short period? RIGHT at the time she broke up with her man? We’re a little skeptical!
This time, Tyga arrived at a fashion show on Tuesday after Avril while wearing a leather biker jacket, jeans, and a black shirt. He then beelined it for the Canadian once inside! Take a look:

As we’ve been following, Avril reportedly ended things with Mod after they had “been on and off for the past two months,” a TMZ insider revealed. But at the time of the initial reports, the God Save The Teen artist and his team didn’t know anything about the breakup! His rep even told the outlet:
“They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him.”
Ouch! Then on Tuesday, Mod broke his silence while declaring his heart “feels broken” amid the major life changes. He did not get into the details of what went wrong between him and Avril — or why things ended so abruptly. But it sure seems like funny timing for Avril and Tyga to be suddenly spotted together again!
