Donald Trump Fat-Shames One Of His Own Supporters Because He Thought The Guy Was A Protester!

Donald Trump fat shames a supporter at a rally.

Donald Trump can do no wrong in the eyes of his devotees — even the ones who are personally shamed by the president.

A Trump supporter claims he is largely unbothered after POTUS mistook him for a protestor at a rally on Thursday night and proceed to make fun of his weight. According to The Washington Post, the fat-shaming incident came after a small group of people tried to interrupt Trump’s New Hampshire rally with banners reading, “Jews Against the Occupation.”

A man next to the group, later identified as Navy veteran Frank Dawson, reportedly took matters into his own hands; he apparently grabbed a banner from one of the protesters and threw it in a nearby entryway — then struggled to take a second banner from another protester before successfully throwing it over the edge of the balcony, where it fell into the crowd below.

Frank, for his part, thought he did the right thing to honor his president. But sadly, his efforts weren’t rewarded — because Trump apparently thought he was one of the protesters who, by that point, had been removed by security.

Naturally, the president took the opportunity to mock the man he thought was opposing him. He said:

“That guy’s got a serious weight problem. Go home, start exercising. Get him out of here, please.”

But he didn’t stop there:

“Got a bigger problem than I do! Got a bigger problem than all of us. Now he goes home and his mom says, ‘What the hell have you just done?’”

Again, he’s saying all this about one of his loyal supporters. Smh…

Watch the ridiculous moment play out (below).

Unsurprisingly, being insulted by the Commander in Chief didn’t affect Frank in the slightest. He laughed the insults off in an interview following the incident, telling Fox News:

“Everything’s good, I love the guy. He’s the best thing that ever happened to this country…. I think he thought I was part of it, but I wasn’t. I was the good part of it.”

Immediately after verbally assaulting one of his supporters, Trump resumed his scripted speech about his “movement … built on love,” ironically. Per the Post, the president called Frank after the rally and left him a message.

Despite Frank’s forgiveness, the incident still sparked mass outrage and frustration on Twitter

One particularly eloquent response came from Chris Evans, who wrote:

Well said, Cap!

Thankfully, s**tty playground bullies can’t run the playground forever.
