HBO Quietly Removed Its Adult Content From Streaming!

It’s the end of an era.
Earlier this summer, HBO quietly removed ALL their adult content from their channel and streaming platforms!
Don’t worry, you can still see all the adult situations and strong sexual content on Game Of Thrones, Girls, and True Blood (above).

But shows like Real Sex, Taxicab Confessions, and Cathouse will be unavailable except on home video collections (or through, er, more illicit means — which we totally do NOT recommend).
TBH, it makes sense for the network, which has focused more on prestige programming than the stuff-you-can’t-see-on-NBC gimmick. An HBO rep told TheWrap:

“Over the past several years HBO has been winding down its late-night adult fare. While we’re greatly ramping up our other original program offerings, there hasn’t been a strong demand for this kind of adult programming, perhaps because it’s easily available elsewhere.”

LOLz! It’s true! In 2018 you can find WAY more explicit stuff — and you don’t need to wait until 1 a.m.!
But for those who still remember a time BEFORE the Internet, when you really couldn’t see stuff like that anywhere else, it’s actually a little sad.
