Talk about awkward!
On Thursday, Hugh Grant stopped by Andy Cohen‘s Watch What Happens Live! to chat it up with the talk show host about his upcoming flick Florence Foster Jenkins along with costar Simon Helberg!
While the two men talked on a WIDE range of subjects, one of our favorite moments of the night had to be when Andy started quizzing the Brit on some of his former female costars — including Renee Zellweger, Sarah Jessica Parker, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Drew Barrymore, and Julianne Moore!

During the segment, the late night host asked Hugh a series of questions about his former on-screen loves and the actor made a MAJOR mistake by not recognizing his Bridget Jones’s Diary costar!
To make matters worse, the 55-year-old joked that he was “high” on Cohen’s talk show as he was asked about the various actresses he’s worked with. At one point, Grant quipped to Andy:
“Who is the one second from the right, because I’ve never seen her before in my life?”

Well, that wasn’t exactly true since the photo was of Miz Zellweger. Although, we can’t entirely blame Hugh for the mix up as only the tops of the famed women’s heads were shown on the screen for the About a Boy star to choose from.
Regardless, the WWHL guest was quite embarrassed when the actress’ identity was revealed. Grant proceeded to then shade the other women by saying he felt it was “pushing it” to call any of the six costars down-to-earth. In fact, the charming actor even said that he has not kept in touch with any of the women and added:
“They all hate me, I think.”
LOLz!
Of course, we think it’s HIGHlarious that Hugh didn’t recognize the blonde beauty after starring in two flicks with her, but we REALLY hope that his response doesn’t give more ammunition to the actress’ harsher critics when it comes to her looks.
