Jamie Lee Curtis, On Her Father's Death

While they might not have always seen eye to eye, Jamie Lee Curtis and her father, Tony Curtis, respected each other professionally.
During her early childhood, Tony had a substance abuse problem. Coupled with an acrimonious divorce from his wife Janet, Jamie was never able to understand her father, ” I understand him now, perhaps not as a father, but as a man.”
Releasing a statement on Wednesday, after his passing, Jamie Lee seemed to have forgiven her father, “he leaves behind children and their families who loved and respected him and a wife and in-laws who were devoted to him. He leaves behind fans all over the world.”
It’s always hard losing a family member.
