Johnny Depp's Estate Manager Claims Amber Heard Threw A Paint Can At The Actor's Face, Disputes The Actress' Earlier Allegations

Amber Heard attacked Johnny Depp with paint can allegedly

Yet another abuse claim has been hurled at Amber Heard amid the ongoing legal battle against Johnny Depp.

An employee of the actor’s island home has given testimony about an incident that somehow hasn’t been spoken about by either party, claiming Depp’s then-wife chucked a paint can at his face and told him he is “washed up,” “fat,” and would “die a lonely man.”

According to court docs obtained by The Blast, Tara Roberts, who has worked for the Oscar nominee as his Estate Manager on his island in the Bahamas since 2008, filed a deposition in his $50 million defamation lawsuit against Heard.

Roberts claims on December 29, 2015, she witnessed an argument between the then-couple that caused her to become alarmed. Although she “could not hear what caused the fight,” Roberts claimed:

“Amber repeatedly berated him with increasing ferocity. She was insulting him, calling him names, and in the middle of this onslaught I heard her say specifically ‘your career is over,’ ‘no one is going to hire you,’ ‘you’re washed up,’ ‘fat,’ ‘you will die a lonely man,’ and also screaming things that were incomprehensible.”

Depp apparently only responded to Heard’s onslaught by saying “go away” and “just leave me alone,” Roberts alleged, adding:

“Amber’s screaming and berating rose to a fever pitch, and Johnny continued to yell ‘go away’ and ‘leave me alone.'”

She claimed to see the actress “lunge” at the Crimes of Grindelwald star before “clawing, tugging and aggressively pulling on him.”

Depp, meanwhile, allegedly “continued to stand there yelling at her to stop and leave him alone.” Roberts insisted she “never saw Johnny hit Amber, or push her back” during the incident, “nor did he physically react to the attacks.”

At one point, Roberts claimed she stepped in between the two physically and noticed Depp “now had a red, swelling gash on the bridge of his nose.” Afterward, Roberts said the actor told her what had caused the injury.

She recounted:

“Amber, Johnny then told me, had thrown a quart-sized can of lacquer thinner into Johnny’s face, causing the gash. The next morning, the bushes around their house were filled with art supplies that had been thrown including paintbrushes, paint tubes, and the deck was stained with the thinner … Amber had also removed her wedding ring and thrown it and had asked for help finding it as they were leaving that afternoon. It was found and returned to her.”

Roberts also seemingly rebuffed Heard’s claims Depp had physically abused her, stating the Aquaman star was “makeup-free and unmarked throughout this Christmas visit to the island, as she was usually makeup-free when on the island. I never saw her with any sign of injury on her face or body whatsoever.”

Sounds like these allegations echo that of Heard’s former stylist/Depp’s current stylist, Samantha McMillen, who earlier this year disputed the 33-year-old’s claim that Depp gave her a black eye in late 2015, testifying:

“On December 16, 2015, I spent much of the day and evening with Amber Heard, preparing her to appear on the James Corden show. I saw her throughout the day of December 16, 2015, in good light, at close range, wearing no makeup. Throughout the day of December 16, 2015, I could see clearly that Amber Heard did not have any visible marks, bruises, cuts, or injuries to her face or any other part of her body. She appeared as a guest on the James Corden show that day.”

In her deposition, Roberts also described the changes she says she saw in the actor following his 2015 marriage to Heard. Before the actress came into the picture, Depp was “outgoing, friendly and social; it was a family environment when he would visit the island,” Roberts claimed.

Throughout their relationship and marriage, however, she claims there was “a distinct change in Johnny,” adding that “the once social and animated person spent most days sleeping, became withdrawn, and our meals together dwindled to non-existent.”

This new deposition comes after years of the couple making allegations of abuse against one another. Both actors claim they were physically abused by each other over the course of their tumultuous marriage, and have continuously denied the other’s allegations.

Heard had previously tried to get Depp’s defamation suit dismissed, but her request was denied by the court. In her initial response to Depp’s defamation suit, the actress claimed the actor kicked and slapped her — and also kicked a hole in the door — during a fight in the Bahamas in August 2014.

Roberts also addressed those allegations in her declaration, stating:

“I am aware that Amber claimed in court documents that Johnny violently attacked Amber on the island on August 17, 2014, and that Johnny kicked and broke a door. First, there was no door broken, or damaged during that visit or any other. There was no broken anything. If there was, I would know as it is my job, on an island on which I live full time. There was nothing out of the ordinary that happened during this visit.”

Wow.

We’ll see what Heard’s team says about these latest claims.
