Julianne Hough & Brooks Laich Are 'Spending More Time Together' & 'Have Had To Make Changes'

Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich are on the mend!

After a reported rough patch earlier this year, the pair are happily “spending more time together” per a People insider, and are working on strengthening their relationship.

The source explained:

“They are spending more time together and seem happy. They actually seem to have figured out how they can stay married. Both have had to make changes, Brooks especially so.”

According to the insider “when things were rough around Christmas time, Brooks refused to give up on their marriage.” Now, things are better between them, but not “perfect” yet:

“He didn’t even want to think about a divorce. He instead decided to figure out what needed to change, so they could both be happy. Their marriage isn’t perfect and they are very open about this. But it seems both really want it to work.”

Recently, the former pro hockey player spoke candidly about his relationship during an episode of his podcast:

“Nothing dirty can exist between two people in love. A big part of my journey in 2020 is exploring my sexuality. And by that I don’t mean if I’m gay or straight. I mean, in my sexual relationship, what is my sexuality and what am I craving, and what are my desires and what are my wife’s?”

He continued, sharing (below) with his How Men Think co-host Gavin DeGraw:

“How can we have this language to feed each other and get everything we want and be sexually expressed to the nth degree in everything.”

The 36-year-old explained that “learning and figuring out my capacity for sexual feelings” wasn’t always a top priority during his time as a professional athlete:

“I woke up as an athlete, wanted to train, wanted to eat, sleep, rest, perform. Sexuality was way below all of that for the majority of my life. I’ve been exposed to a beautiful new side of life that I’d never explored or thought to explore. It’s amazing.”

The rumors of their relationship being strained was initially confusing, considering how open they had each been about their sexuality and intimate relationship. Brooks added:

“In this stage of life, I’m looking for a deeper connection and romance. When I think of being married and being in my relationship, truthfully at my core, I don’t see any other life for me. Like that’s the life that I choose.”
