Justin Timberlake has officially started working on his new album — he just doesn’t know when he’s gonna finish it yet!
The pop star recently dropped his first song in three years Can’t Stop the Feeling, which will be featured in the upcoming movie Trolls.
In addition to lending his voice to the animated flick, JT is serving as executive music producer for the film’s soundtrack — but that’s not the only album he’s been working on!

In a BBC Radio 1 interview on Wednesday, the musician admitted that being back in the studio for Trolls got him “really excited” to record music for his next solo album!
He dished:

“Working on the music for this movie just got me really excited about being back in the studio again ’cause I kind of took some time off, you know, having a new family member, having a son. I just kind of took some time off and wanted to just be in that experience.”

Though the Trolls soundtrack isn’t completed yet, JT revealed both Ariana Grande and Gwen Stefani will be featured on the album — and hinted he might even be featured on Gwen’s track for a duet!

In between working on Trolls, the 35-year-old confirmed he’s been working on his own album in the studio with Pharrell Williams and Timbaland — but because he wants to take his time on the new record, didn’t announce a release date.
He explained:

“I don’t know exactly what it’s going to be yet ’cause we just really started. I think it’s one of those things that’s just a feeling like you know it’s done when it’s done.”

As for other collabs, the singer hinted that he and The Weeknd “have been talking about doing a collaboration soon.” AH-Mazing!
