Kellan Lutz Didn’t Want To Be Edward Cullen Because The Character Was Too Moody!

He makes a better Emmett anyway!
Kellan Lutz recently revealed something that could have changed the course of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s lives forever!
He was supposed to play Edward Cullen in the Twilight series!
The actor talked about the role being offered to him, and said:

“The role just didn’t… I just didn’t care to entertain it. I really wanted to play a happy role or no role for a little bit… I didn’t care to audition for [the role of Edward] because he was a bit moody and emotionally challenged. But then I loved Emmett… I’m so blessed to have been able to play him.”

Fair enough! Kellan had just filmed Generation Kill and was looking for something less drama-y at the time too!
He added that he’d totes play Emmett again, and even some other roles, but didn’t say which ones.
This is just one of those times when everything ended up working out perfectly because we can’t imagine Twilight any other way!
