Her fans are fighting for her.
Ever since being denied her injunction bid on Friday to be released from her contract with Dr. Luke, Kesha has received an outpouring of support from fans and fellow artists.
Since the ruling came out, celebs have been publicly standing beside the Blow singer — from Lena Dunham‘s powerful essay on Lenny Letter to Adele voicing her support during her BRIT Awards speech!
And the songstress’ fans are pushing for change as well, as #FreeKesha supporters are planning to boycott Dr. Luke’s recording label Kemosabe Records — a subdivision of Sony Music.

Not only that, they’ll start with some full-on picketing!
Lead organizer Michael Eisel made it clear that “Kesha is not free” in a release, writing:

“[Kesha] is contractually obligated to record and release eight albums with Dr. Luke. As a result, she cannot continue her career safely and her work will continue to have her alleged abuser’s name on it, which merely adds insult to injury.”

The protest will take place on Friday, outside of Sony’s NYC headquarters.
Kesha already said she would be willing to work with Sony again if they “break all ties” that bond her to the music producer — so we’re curious to see how this protest will play out.
