Well, we hope you’re sitting, because it sounds like Kris Jenner is the mastermind behind this friendship.

As you know, the momager has been dating the 36-year-old music manager since at least 2014, and an insider tells People that Corey has been a major source of support for Kim Kardashian West‘s husband, especially after the Famous artist’s recent hospitalization.

The source explains:
“They have a great friendship. Kris makes sure that they’re close. Kanye doesn’t have that many friends, so she definitely encourages them to hang out and do things together.”
We think it’s definitely a good idea to have trusted people around the 39-year-old during this fragile time!
Another friend to the family tells the outlet:
“Kanye appreciates how much Corey cares for the family and all he does. They have a lot in common, including music, and know many of the same people.”
That’s great to hear.
