Teen Mom 2 Star Leah Messer Reportedly Loses Custody Of Her Twin Girls To Corey Simms

We can’t say we’re surprised this day is here.
According to a new report, on October 13 Leah Messer lost primary custody of her five-year-old twin girls to her ex-husband, Corey Simms.

The decision was made following Leah’s stint in a rehab facility earlier this year for prescription pill abuse anxiety and depression, a major point of contention between her and Corey.
Besides the rehab stay, Simms was also quite vocal of the West Virginia native’s parenting abilities after she was filmed feeding her children at midnight and keeping a house that was so dirty many viewers deemed it unsafe. Oh, and there was that whole messy divorce situation between Messer and her second ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert.
An insider said of the devastating yet unsurprising court decision:

“Leah’s really been screwing up├óΓé¼┬ªso Corey took her back to court. The judge looked at the girls’ school records, which show that they’ve been late for school, and made the change in custody. Leah only gets the girls on the weekends now.”

Well, it seems like Corey had to do what’s best for his girls! Sadly it seems like the father of two with one on the way is the only stabilizing influence right now…
While L.M. has yet to confirm the ruling, she did post a tweet about weekend parenting on October 17. Check out the message (below)!

Hmm, maybe the mother of three realizes this change is exactly what she and her girls really needed.
A source, however, contends that Leah’s upbeat attitude is just a front for how she really feels:

“Leah’s been crying. She never thought this would happen.”

Yikes.
To make matters worse, the confidante elaborated that everyone is scared for Messer’s youngest daughter, Addie, saying:

“Everyone is worried about Addie. She recently wandered out of the house while Leah was distracted. Thankfully, a police officer found Addie and brought her back home.”

Wow, what a terrible allegation. We hope the situation isn’t THAT dire.
So, do YOU think Leah deserved to lose custody?
