Maze Runner: The Death Cure Delayed AGAIN Due To Dylan O'Brien's Extensive Injuries

We’re rooting for you, Dylan O’Brien!
Following Dylan’s scary injuries on the set of Maze Runner: The Death Cure earlier this month, the Hollywood Reporter just announced the film will be pushed back again in order to give the actor more time to recover. Filming was initially slated to resume May 7.

Unsurprisingly, O’Brien still needs more time to rest after suffering multiple lacerations, a concussion, and facial fracture after being hit by another car on set.
Sounding off on the 24-year-old’s recovery process, his publicist stated:

“His injuries are very serious and he needs more time to recover.”

Darn, what a bummer! This is especially sad to hear considering an earlier report revealed he was doing better than expected.
Confirming the rep’s comments, Fox released the following statement:

“The resumption of principal photography on Maze Runner: The Death Cure has been further delayed to allow Dylan O’Brien more time to fully recover from his injuries. We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and look forward to restarting production as soon as possible.”

Wow. We’re sorry to hear this sad update.
While the film was set to be released February 17, 2017, that date will obviously be pushed back. It’s unclear when the movie will be released at this point.
Wishing you a fast recovery, Dylan! Feel better!
