Meghan Trainor Says She Thought She Suffered A Miscarriage During Interview With Ryan Seacrest

Meghan Trainor experienced a complete “nightmare” while pregnant with her second baby.

During an appearance on Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals Thursday, the singer revealed she had a miscarriage scare in the middle of an interview with Ryan Seacrest. Meghan recalled she started bleeding while performing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in 2022. At first, she thought it was her period. However, she took a pregnancy test a month later and found out she was actually expecting another child. The Made You Look artist was, of course, very excited about the news:

“That morning, I was, like, stoked, beaming with joy, I videotaped it. I did interviews and they were like, ‘How are you?’ and I said, ‘I’m thriving.’ I was so happy.”

But right before her final interview with Ryan over Zoom that day, Meghan looked down and was “gushing blood.” Oh no! She continued:

“I ruined a chair. I go, ‘Oh no,’ and they’re like ‘Okay, Ryan Seacrest is on. Go!’”

Meghan went on to do the interview. Understandably, she struggled to keep her emotions in check throughout it:

“I did that whole interview like, ‘Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry,’ and then got through it. I shut the computer and was like, ‘Hey team I think I’m miscarrying right now.’”

Thankfully, everything turned out OK. Meghan said she continued to have positive pregnancy tests and “got a blood test done” to prove she was still pregnant. When the pop star eventually went to the OBGYN for a six-week scan, she found out that she was actually 10 weeks along! Reflecting on the experience, she noted:

“What a nightmare that was. Rollercoaster. Like, I told everyone in the household, ‘I’m pregnant!’ and then later, I was like, ‘I lost it.’ It was horrific and then amazing.”

Meghan and her husband, Daryl Sabara, welcomed their second son Barry in July 2023. Wow. What a scary experience! Watch the new interview (below):
