Olivia Munn Has Been 'Privately' Dealing With Brett Ratner's False Claims Of Sleeping With Her Since 2011!

Like most victims, Olivia Munn has been waiting for a long time to speak out against her abuser.
The Office Christmas Party actress opened up about the sexual harassment claims she recently made against Brett Ratner — public accusations, she says, that were long overdue.

At The Hollywood Reporter‘s 2017 100 Women in Entertainment breakfast on Wednesday, the 37-year-old said speaking out against the Hollywood producer took a lot of courage, even though his lies were already exposed years ago.
Speaking with E! News, she said:

“It’s something that I privately dealt with for a long time, and something that came out publicly before, in 2011. I had to take a lot of hits for that.”

For those who forgot, Ratner got heat in 2011 for claiming he “banged [Munn] a few times” during an interview for Attack Of The Show for G4, only to admit he lied about sleeping with her a week later on Howard Stern.
Back then, Munn wasn’t looking for retribution over Ratner’s false claims — she just wanted to clear her name. The actress continued:

“The exhaustion back in 2011 of just trying to just get my name clear again as [Ratner] lied about me and all that stuff. At that time, I wasn’t trying to dethrone him or get him fired from anything. I just wanted to clear my name. That says a lot about what women put up with├óΓé¼┬ª I wasn’t looking for justice. I just wanted to clear my name. And we deserve a lot more than that. We deserve justice. We shouldn’t just ask for the bare minimum.”

Inspired by the #MeToo movement, Munn finally decided to speak out in full against the movie mogul in an interview with the LA Times last month. She alleged Ratner masturbated in front of her, told her he ejaculated on her magazine covers, and lied about “banging” her.
Ratner has denied Munn’s claims, with his attorney describing them as “ridiculous.”

The actress said she has received many legal calls since coming forward. Despite the current climate being supportive of women speaking out, Munn couldn’t help but think about everything she could lose by calling out such a powerful Hollywood figure.
But as more women continue to come forward, Munn is nothing but proud to be a part of such a revolutionary movement. She added:

“It’s been great to see the outpouring of support and all the other women standing up together. I’m just so proud that our voices matter right now.”

As for what she has to say to any other women looking to speak out, the actress offered:

“Do so at your own time, and if and when you do, we will be there to support you.”

Women supporting other women — there’s a special place in heaven for that!
