UPDATE 8:31 PM EST: Untitled Magazine has released a statement following Ruby’s outrage saying the OITNB star and her PR team were aware of the photo shoot and even thanked the mag after seeing the digital copy:
“We would never try to ‘exploit’ talent we feature in the magazine. Equally we would never publish photos that were taken without the consent of the subject. We do not steal photos or publish unauthorized photos. The interview is very positive and focuses on her career and feminism.”

This seems a little shady on their part…
Ruby Rose may have been the breakout star of Season Three of Orange Is the New Black thanks to her fearlessness when it came to embracing her sexuality.
And while we may have seen Stella’s boobs on the hit Netflix series, that was because it was her choice!
Well, it seems as though one magazine took some liberties when it came to #FreeingTheNipple, because Ruby is pretty pissed about Untitled Magazine‘s latest photo shoot.

Apparently, the 29-year-old Australian model did a shoot with the mag a staggering eight months ago, but photos of herself with her nipple exposed just surfaced online this past week.
The only problem?? Ruby never gave her approval for the slightly NSFW pics to be published!
“Imagine my shock to find that The Untitled Magazine decided to publish images of me after we explained we wouldn’t be doing the shoot if I wasn’t appropriately covered.
Not only is this 8 months old.. The photos unapproved but they also sold photos to other publications.
Please if you are a fan of mine boycott this issue. Or you are buying into greedy, exploitative propaganda. I have plenty of other shoots I’m proud of with professionals coming up its not needed in your collection.”
Luckily, Ruby has a huge fanbase so we think her boycott is going to be pretty successful!

On a serious note, it seems pretty shady of the mag to publish something without Ruby’s consent — regardless of whether or not it contained nudity.
