Saturday Night Live has lost its voice.
Announcer Don Pardo, whose baritone could be heard presenting the ever-changing cast week after week, passed away on Monday at his home in Tucson at the age of 96.
Don had also served as the announcer on The Price Is Right and Jeopardy!, but he was best known for SNL, where he announced 39 out of 40 seasons.
It’s difficult to even imagine Saturday nights without that voice. So sad.
Here are just a few of the remembrances by SNL cast members, guests, and friends who took to Twitter to mourn his passing:
RIP Don Pardo. A voice that meant so much. http://t.co/X4q9TeHVbO

On Sept 13th 2008 I heard Don Pardo say my name for the first time. I cried until the 16th. Thanks Don. I owe you a coffee.
