Say so long to The Weeknd‘s luscious locks… and hello to his new album!
On Wednesday, the soulful singer took to social media to reveal the title and artwork (above) for his upcoming record, as well as a shorter hairstyle!
The Nabil-shot photo for the album, titled Starboy, features the Canadian crooner — and his new ‘do — sitting in front of a pink background with his hands on his head and a cross around his neck.

This exciting unveiling was so important to the 26-year-old that he completely wiped ALL posts from his Instagram account a couple days ago in preparation!
In fact, his last post before the IG cleanse cryptically read:
“This my last post before the new era. Happy birthday to the legend @lamarctaylor, wouldn’t be here without the vision. Let’s shut Toronto down tonight. XO.”
…and, this “era” isn’t just referring to his hair.
Earlier this month, the hitmaker told VMAN all about his new muses for the project, and promised Starboy would be his best release yet, saying:
“There are new inspirations on this album. The production feels aggressive but still sexy. The Smiths, Bad Brains, Talking Heads, Prince, and DeBarge play roles. We wrote it all in Los Angeles. I think it’ll be the best-sounding album I’ve ever done. It’s hard to label the sound because, when I first came out, nobody would label it R&B. I just want to keep pushing the envelope without it feeling forced.”
Considering Beauty Behind The Madness gifted us with a bunch of hits AND scored an Album Of The Year nod at the 2016 Grammys, odds are this record will be AH-mazing as well!
The Weeknd hasn’t said when he’ll be gracing us with Starboy, but we can’t wait until it drops! Can U?!
