Magnifique!
Diane Kruger has officially been named the new face of Chanel beauty!
Geez, we couldn't imagine how that happened. It's not like she's BFFs with Karl Lagerfeld or anything.
The ads will be released later this year, and since Diane was previously shot by Unkle Karl when she was the face of Chanel's Allure fragrance and Paris-Biarritz bag, it's almost guaranteed she'll be working it for his camera again.
We can't wait to see the campaign!

Karl Lagerfeld needs his own reality TV show!!!
Has nobody really considered this before? It would be television GOLD!
Unkle Karl always has something inneresting or controversial to say, thanks very much to the lack of filter in his brain.
In a recent interview, the Chanel designer gives us even more thoughts on the ever-present gay marriage issue AND he talks about dressing Kim Kardashian.
Well, sort of.
Regarding the legalization of gay marriage, he said:

Even Karl Lagerfeld needs an afternoon out with his boys!
Instead of using his preferred method of travel, Chanel's commander-in-chief did the unthinkable and WALKED the streets of SoHo on Tuesday with some of his friends.
Sporting his usual all-black uniform, Unkle Karl added some inneresting accents, like coated jeans and some fancy schmancy fingertip-less gloves.
Typical Karl.
Loves it!

Oh la la!
Rita Ora received the couture treatment from Karl Lagerfeld this weekend for the Bal De La Rose Du Rocher!
The songstress took the stage in Monte Carlo wearing a custom outfit Unkle Karl dubbed "The Ora", which featured a white corset adorned lace and strategically placed rosettes on her boobies and frilly black panties.
She even wore pale pink rhinestone-encrusted sandals to match her train!
Fabulousness!
We can tell this is going to be the beginning of a beautiful relationship!

This could be the greatest thing ever!
Keira Knightley will take direction from Karl Lagerfeld as she plays the role of the legendary Coco Chanel in a short film to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the brand's first ever store in Deauville, France.
The short will then be screened during the Chanel Cruise runway presentation taking place in Singapore in May.
Oh, la la!
With Unkle Karl at the helm, the finished product is bound to be entertaining at the very least.
And we all know Keira's got the acting chops to bring Mademoiselle Coco to life.
Fasten your seatbelts–it's going to be a very chic ride!
Ch-ch-check out the future Coco Chanel wearing the label in the gallery (below)!

Sometimes a dress is better left in the decade from whence it came.
Like this Karl Lagerfeld-designed Chloe violin dress from 1983 that Chloe Sevigny wore to the brand's 60th anniversary celebration at Barneys New York on Wednesday.
The side cut-outs seem too wide and the embroidered violin at center is just distracting.
Perhaps if the scale of these details was smaller, the outfit would've worked, but as it stands, it's not knocking us out with its brilliance or anything.
Her side-swept bangs and strappy Chloe heels are cute, which is something we couldn't say about her last look.
Do U like this musical number???

It's been four years since Michelle Obama graced the cover of Vogue, but now the First Lady is back with yet another beautiful cover.
Wearing a royal blue and purple Reed Krakoff sheath dress, which was plucked from her own closet BTW, FLOTUS is featured on the April issue with absolute grace.
With her new bangs, the cover reminds us a bit of her latest official portrait. Suck on that, Unkle Karl!
In the Annie Leibovitz-lensed shoot Michelle poses with that guy we all know as the President of the United States aka her husband in the same frock before changing into a fabulous Michael Kors ball skirt and sweater.
We think this cover shoot is even more glorious than her 2009 debut!
What about U???
