*** WARNING: Nashville Spoilers Ahead ***
It's the end of an era… or is it?
Following its surprise cancellation last week, Nashville gave what could very well like be its final bow on Wednesday, much to the disappointment of its loyal fans.
While the episode itself was incredibly dramatic — will Hayden Panettiere's Juliette ever be seen again?! — the biggest thing we took away was how similarly the plot played out to Kesha's real life legal troubles with Dr. Luke!
The 29-year-old pop star has already portrayed herself during Season Four, so it clearly was not a coincidence that Connie Britton's Rayna opened up about a producer forcing himself on her AND then her daughter Maddie was placed in the same situation…
But if you're nervous about the show's future following that cliffhanger ending, we actually have some good news.
After the series finale, Lionsgate Television consoled fans on Twitter with a pretty uplifting message, saying:
On Sunday, the pop princess earned a standing ovation after slaying a powerful performance of Bob Dylan's It Ain't Me Babe alongside Ben Folds and violinist Rob Moose.
Everyone was eagerly awaiting the 29-year-old's time on the T-Mobile Arena stage, considering Dr. Luke had almost banned her from singing during the show.
"We were slated to do it for weeks, and [last week] she was heading over to my house and we were getting ready to practice and I got the word that it was in fact canceled. Rob Moose [of yMusic], who played violin [at the BBMAs], and I had arranged it for a small chamber ensemble. And [during the Orpheum performance last week], it went over really well. But then we got the call: 'Actually, you're on [for the BBMAs], bring the ensemble.' 'Oh, we can't because they're all on airplanes now,' so Rob and I just pared it down."
He explained why the singer kept her promise to leave the Kemosabe Records label head out of her TV time, saying:

The lady of the hour was most definitely Britney Spears. The Baby One More Time singer was slated to slay a medley of her hits before accepting the Millennium Award… but before all that, she STUNNED viewers on the red carpet!
Kesha has always maintained a special relationship with her fans!
On Thursday, the singer took to Instagram to share her happiness over Dr. Luke's decision to let her perform at Sunday's Billboard Music Awards. The music producer originally denied the blonde over fears that she'd discuss her ongoing "litigation" against him while on stage.
Naturally, the businessman's choice INFURIATED fans AND celebs like Lady GaGa. From scathing articles to explosions on social media, just about everyone had something to say about Luke's total legal control over the beauty thanks to her contract with him at Kemosabe Records.
To celebrate Kesha's reversal in fortune, she posted a gushing message to share with fans:
