Do kids love Martha Stewart?

Well, she's hoping they do because she launched a new web series called Martha & Friends on AOLKids.

Martha will be her 10-year-old self in animated form and is described as a "problem-solving, craft-loving, generous spirit who, along with her three best friends and two dogs, Francesca and Sharkey, aim to spread Stewart's DIY ethic."

Talking about the web series, Martha says:

"Kids are extraordinarily imaginative and we are so glad to be part of a project that encourages, celebrates and rewards their innate creativity and curiosity. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve had a passion for crafting and cooking and my hope is that this series will inspire a whole new generation of do-it-yourselfers."

This is pretty neat! Kids need more crafting in their lives!

Craaazy!

Back in March, we met Martha Stewart's granddaughter Jude (above), and we thought she was totally precious!

Now, Martha's daughter Alexis Stewart has spoken up about becoming a mother. Here's what she had to say about the process:

“Getting Jude was lucky. I’m happy, but this has been rough.”

Certainly sounds like it WAS rough! According to Alexis, she saw several doctors and had to spend as much as $27,000/month on IVF procedures, and $6,000 more on medication! Wowsa!

Once she finally met Dr. John Zhang at Manhattan's New Hope Fertility Center though, she was able to bring her monthly costs waaaay down to around $5,000.

More from Alexis on her long road to becoming a mother:

“This is my other job that I don’t talk about, but if you’re lucky enough to be able to afford it and you have time, what’s the downside?”

Certainly can't blame her! All that hard work and money seems to have paid off quite well - just look at baby Jude's face! SO cute!

Really??? Come on!!!

We find this HIGHLY unlikely!

The National Enquirer is reporting that Martha Stewart has found love again in the arms of a man young enough to be her son. According to their sources, Miz Stewart has taken a liking to Saturday Night Live's head writer and star, Seth Meyers!

Um, doubt it, but whatever!

The report claims that Seth, who is 32 years her junior, has made quite an impression on her over the four times he has been on the show and they've apparently "grown to like each other a lot." One source adds:

“They crack each oth­er up – and right now, Martha needs to laugh.”

We know we're having one right now at this ridiculous story! Don't get us wrong! If Martha wants herself a younger man in her life make her feel 20 years younger, by God she should have one. But Seth really doesn't fit the "boytoy" criteria. He's got his own money, his own career and not enough time on his hands to spoil Martha with all the attention cougars tend to want from their prey.

Still, more power to them both if it is true - especially to Martha! Way to stick it to Charles Simonyi, girl!

Poor Martha!

Back in October, we learned that Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia's third-quarter broadcast revenue had declined by 47%.

MSLO's Executive Chairman Charles Koppelman was hoping that more audiences would find Martha and her other shows on Hallmark, but it doesn't seem to be happening.

Now, Martha's company has posted a quarterly loss of $7.1 million, and her broadcasting revenue declined from $12.1 million to $7.8 million. Ouch.

Here's what Koppelman had to say about it:

"Our broadcasting team is continuing to build an attractive block of programming on Hallmark Channel."

"We believe the transformation of the company is beginning to take hold as we seek to broaden our portfolio of engaging content and quality products. We feel we're positioned to deliver profitable growth as we execute on our business plan in 2011 and beyond."

On a brighter note, Martha's merchandising and publishing revenue continues to grow.

Hopefully MSLO's broadcasting team can figure something out. Things are just not working out with Hallmark…

Does everybody have a TV show?

The Hallmark Channels recent press release makes it seem so.

An unscripted lifestyle series with Maya Angelou its first-ever original musical film and more Martha Stewart primetime interview specials are among the Hallmark Channel's programming slate for 2011-12.

The network also confirmed the launch of the previously unnamed Emeril's Table, a new daily cooking show featuring Emeril Lagasse, which will debut in the fourth quarter and got a 52 half-hour episode order.

The new 13-episode series hosted by writer Angelou is called The Spirit Table and will feature the host and well-known guests sharing life stories and cooking, executives said without immediately announcing names of likely guests. They said the show is targeted for a primetime run with a launch in early 2012.

Among 25 original movies scheduled for the Hallmark Channel will be The Music Teacher, the channel's first foray into musicals.

We are especially excited to announce Billy Ray Cyrus, is set to star in a Hallmark Channel original movie.

Martha Stewart recently became a grandmother when her daughter, Alexis Stewart, welcomed a baby daughter named Jude via surrogate on March 7th, and the radio host took to her blog to share her joy - and PHOTOS - with the world!
