Still with heavy hearts for Vanessa Hudgens!
The Grease: Live star went through something SO difficult just a week ago when her father Greg passed away from cancer the night before she was set to star in the live television event.
Hudgens was AH-mazing in the show, but obviously her father was still in her heart — and he will be forever.
Earlier on Saturday afternoon, Hudgens shared a simple, sad message about missing him on Instagram (below):
Vanessa Hudgens is such a champ!
Of course, the show must've been such an emotional experience as the 27-year-old revealed that her father passed away after a battle with cancer mere hours before the big production. How sad!
Nonetheless, Miz Hudgens proved that she was all class and put her fans first, despite her recent loss. She posted:
We're hopelessly devoted to their love!
Well, we think we may have figured out how she stayed so grounded for the three-hour long musical despite her situation, because she had a familiar face in the audience.
No… it wasn't one of her High School Musical castmates, it was her boyfriend Austin Butler!
The Shannara Chronicles star can be seen sitting on the bleachers with the T-Birds in one of the early scenes, and he even tweeted out his support to Vanessa, saying:
They've got ratings, and they're multiplyin'!
Grease: Live may have captured America's hearts Sunday night, but did the new name in live TV musicals do enough to dethrone its predecessors?
Believe it or not, Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, Vanessa Hudgens and the rest of the cast pulled in an impressive 12.18 million viewers — a number practically unheard of for FOX aside from Empire and The X-Files revival.
Unfortunately for the T-Birds and Pink Ladies, however, their 4.3 rating was just a note shy of beating Carrie Underwood's 4.6 for The Sound of Music Live… but that one was critically panned, so we know who the real winner is.
Grease did manage to surpass both of the other NBC musical outings — The Wiz Live and Peter Pan Live – so hopefully this means we get to see Grease 2: Live in the near future!

We're right there with you, Anna!

Tell us about it, studs.
Now that we've had some time to sit and think about the amazing production of Grease: Live, we're still just in awe of what FOX was able to accomplish with their take on the live TV musical.
Sure, NBC was the first network to try to make theater cool again, but Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, Vanessa Hudgens, and the rest of the cast really shined on Sunday night, blowing us away visually, technically, and sonically.
But don't just take our word for it — the critics are all in agreement that Grease: Live was certainly the bee's knees.
Plus, it didn't hurt that we got tons of star-making moments from Kether Donohue, Keke Palmer, Elle McLemore, Jordan Fisher, and Haneefah Wood!
However, everyone did agree on one thing… Mario Lopez was kinda the worst…

FOX just set the bar for live stage shows, and the Internet knows it.
While NBC was the first network to enter the live musical game, Grease: Live kind of blew everything they've done out of the water thanks to the audience, sets, and breathtaking talent from Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, Vanessa Hudgens, and the rest of the cast!
You already know how much we loved it, but what did Twitter have to say about the production?
