Something tells us the hosts of MSNBC's Morning Joe wish they had just gotten a text message from Russell Brand instead!

When the Brand X host stopped by to promote his new Messiah Complex tour, he threw the anchors off balance right away by breaking their desk and commenting on one's low cut dress!

But when they commented on his unusual demeanor and even GOT HIS NAME WRONG, he quickly gave them a manners check, saying:

We have been so bummed out about Nick Stahl's struggles these past few years, and just when we thought he was turning his life around, we hear that he's been taken to an L.A. hospital and placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold — which is the same hold that Paris Jackson was under after her suicide attempt.

There are NO confirmations that Nick has attempted to take his life, however, and the reasons for the lockdown on him are unclear. The only thing we know for sure is that he was taken to the hospital around 3:30am this morning by a friend.

We hope he's okay, getting the help he needs, and we'll keep everyone posted!
