Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund are enjoying each other’s company!
As we reported, the 28-year-old actress quietly broke off her engagement with longtime love Evan Peters about a month ago and has since been spotted cozying up to the Friday Night Lights alum.
Fans were rocked by the news of their sudden split, seeing as Peters and Roberts had been dating for nearly seven years and had basically become American Horror Story’s royal couple. The fact that Roberts seemingly moved on so quickly also had fans worried she was rushing into a new relationship.

But a source wants all you concerned fans to rest easy knowing that Emma’s fun rebound is just that: a fun rebound! Insisting that the new fling isn’t anything serious, the insider dished to People:
“Emma is newly single and neither she nor Garrett are in the right headspace to be in a serious relationship. They’re just having fun hanging out and hooking up.”
Good for them!
After being in such an intense, dramatic relationship, it’s nice to have something fun and easily digestible to get you back on your feet.
To put it in Ryan Murphy terms: you can’t always watch American Crime Story… sometimes, you just gotta enjoy a few episodes of Scream Queens.
And that’s exactly what our girl appears to be doing.
Roberts’ romance with the 34-year-old actor was first reported on in March when the two were seen kissing on a dinner date in Los Angeles. Weeks later, they were photographed holding hands in New York City.

The actress also landed a new man for the upcoming season of American Horror Story: 1984. As we reported, Murphy confirmed that she will be returning for the upcoming season, and her character’s boyfriend will be played by Olympic skiier, Gus Kenworthy.
The veteran showrunner revealed the news an Instagram post back in February, captioning a shirtless (obvi) picture of the silver medalist:
“That special moment when you realize you have an Olympic medal AND will be playing Emma Roberts’ boyfriend on ‘American Horror Story’ Season 9.”
Sounds like Emma’s got her hands full of top grade man meat both on screen and off. Atta girl!
No word on if Peters will be appearing in the upcoming season of AHS, but his previous interviews hint that he’ll be taking a season off.
Probably wouldn’t be the worst idea…
