We’re so happy for Hilary Duff!
The Lizzie McGuire actress just officially tied the knot on Saturday afternoon, at a private at-home ceremony in her backyard in Los Angeles. She and partner Matthew Koma, with whom she shares a one-year-old daughter, Banks, are now officially man and wife!

The big day comes as a very private, intimate ceremony rather than a big, long, drawn-out affair, as the couple simply chose to invite their family and closest friends over to their home for the wonderful life event. According to all reports, the entire thing was “extremely intimate.”
One source spoke at greater length to People about the whole thing, saying (below):
“The wedding was at her house. It was small and low-key. Only family and close friends. The ceremony started at sunset and they got married inside the house. When the ceremony was over, guests cheered. The reception was in a white tent in the backyard. Her sister Haylie was very involved in the wedding prep too. Hilary and Haylie are very close.”

Social media appears to be pretty quiet about the whole event, underscoring how private everything was for the couple. The bride’s stylist, Jessica Paster, did hint at the ceremony on her Instagram page, though, noting that it took place on the Winter Solstice:

This proved to be a whirlwind engagement of sorts for Duff and Koma, who were engaged in early May after being together since early 2017. And now, just like that, they’re man and wife thanks to Saturday’s nuptials. And now, it’s official: Hilary, Matthew, and Banks are a family — along with seven-year-old son Luca, who Hilary had with her ex-husband, former professional hockey player Mike Comrie. Love it!
This marks the end of a wonderful year for Duff, and right on the heels of the beginning of another one: Disney+ will be broadcasting a reboot of Lizzie McGuire in 2020, so Hilary and her fam figure to take on another high-profile turn in the entertainment world for it.
Duff hasn’t been shy about her excitement for everything during her press tour for the show, either. We’re excited to see what exactly the reboot will look like, including Lizzie’s friends and love interests, and what the iconic character’s life will look like after so many years of speculation. Exciting!!!
