Kanye West Accuses Liberals Of 'Bullying' Trump Supporters In David Letterman Interview!

David Letterman interviews Kanye West!

Kanye West is not afraid to get political — despite never having voted.
In his new Netflix show — which will begin streaming on Friday, May 31 — David Letterman interviewed the Yeezus rapper, who (not surprisingly) discussed his controversial support for President Donald Trump.

Per a preview obtained by The Daily Beast, while discussing his “fear” as a man during the #MeToo movement, Kim Kardashian‘s husband said:

“This is like my thing with Trump—we don’t have to feel the same way, but we have the right to feel what we feel.”

Case in point, when the musician wears his MAGA hat, he says it’s “not about politics” but an attempt to break the stigma around showing support for Trump.
However, things got a bit tense when Letterman asked him, “Did you vote for Trump?”
When West responded, “I’ve never voted in my life,” the legendary late night host shot back:

“Then you don’t have a say in this.”

In response, Kanye remarked, “Well you got me, you got me,” before going on his rant against the 13th amendment, which abolished slavery.
(While posting a pic of himself in his MAGA hat, Kanye tweeted in September 2018:

“this represents good and America becoming whole again.  We will no longer outsource to other countries. We build factories here in America and create jobs.  We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment. Message sent with love”

Ye later told TMZ that he “misspoke,” and actually wanted to “amend” the amendment so it no longer allows for indentured servitude of those convicted of crimes.
When Letterman tried to get the artist to condemn the Republican-led voter suppression efforts during the most recent midterm elections, West replied:

“So if I see a person that I admire talking about Donald Trump can think whatever he does… I wonder if those thoughts, indirectly, aren’t hurting people who are already being hurt.”

West then said Trump voters are “treated like enemies of America because that’s what they felt,” adding:

“Have you ever been beat up in your high school for wearing the wrong hat?… Liberals bully people who are Trump supporters!”

Sure, there will always be assholes on both sides, but these days there are far more on the right. Even the president himself is a bully! So his point falls flat.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Kanye has gone on a rant against liberalism.
In September 2018, during an appearance on Saturday Night Live, he went on stage and said:

“Actually, blacks weren’t always Democrats… It’s like a plan they did to take the fathers out the homes and promote welfare. Does anybody know about that? That’s the Democratic plan.”

In addition to claiming that he was “bullied” by producers who discouraged him from wearing his MAGA hat, he addressed his support for Trump by exclaiming:

“It’s so many times that I talk to a white person about this, and they say, ‘How could you support Trump? He’s racist.’ Well if I was concerned about racism, I would have moved out of America a long time ago. We don’t just make our decisions off of racism. I’ma break it down to you right now: If someone inspires me and I connect with them, I don’t have to believe in all they policies.'”

Afterward, Trump praised Kanye by writing on Twitter:

“Like many, I don’t watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) – no longer funny, no talent or charm. It is just a political ad for the Dems. Word is that Kanye West, who put on a MAGA hat after the show (despite being told “no”), was great. He’s leading the charge!”

Love him or hate him, Kanye is always going to be Kanye!
