Even though Hurricane Sandy struck a few months ago, Madonna‘s daughter, Lola Leon feels that the victims that suffered the horrible storm in New York and New Jersey still need help.
Miz Leon took to her blog to write:
“Aside from the resuming of classes, I know its extremely late but New York, New Jersey and surrounding areas were faced with Hurricane Sandy which left a huge impact on many parts of New York as most of you know.
Notably the Rockaways and Breezy Point and its extremely important that we STILL do what we can because people still need help.
This can be donating to hurricane relief or going down to the affected locations and helping out.
My family and I went down to Rockaway a while back and the devastation was awful. It looked like the apocalypse and trash, rubble and tree branches were everywhere. We boxed provisions and gave them out to folks that needed them. It was actually really awesome to see how many people were there helping out and how many people cared.
There has been an extreme amount of progress since the hurricane despite the damage done and it is very inspiring to see the city rebuild itself but there├óΓé¼Γäós still a lot of work that needs to be done.”
She’s sooooo right!
Since the areas that were effected by the storm are still rebuilding, money and supplies are obviously needed, and while Lola is doing her part by reminding everyone about the tragedy, then maybe U can help out too.
After all, nothing is better than assisting others when times are rough!!
