Michael Vick Says Time Behind Bars Helped Him Turn A New Leaf!

michael vick says he is a better person because of his time behind bars

It sounds like Michael Vick learned a lot from his time behind bars!

The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback has been making headlines for all of the right reasons lately as he has been heavily involved with Team Freedom Outreach, a charity organization that reaches out to incarcerated children through sports!

Some might have a hard time believing that he has actually turned a new leaf, but Michael claims that his time in prison for his involvement in dog fighting was actually the boost he needed to realize he had to make some serious life changes!

He recently opened up about his stint behind bars, saying:

“I think God placed it on my heart when I was incarcerated to come out and be the best person I can be and to help as many people as I can help.”

Michael also claimed that his involvement in charity is not a simple ploy to boost his image, and that he is actually very passionate about the children he works with.

It certainly sounds that way too, as he has already met with Georgia Rep. John Lewis in hopes of expanding Team Freedom Outreach!

We’re so glad to hear that Michael is on a better path now and is putting what he learned from his mistakes to some VERY good use!
