Original veteran judge Randy Jackson put some rumors to rest on Thursday when he announced he would be leaving American Idol after twelve years of being its fun ‘yo dog’ judge.
In a statement, he revealed:
“Yo! Yo! Yo! To put all of the speculation to the rest, after 12 years of judging on American Idol I have decided it is time to leave after this season. I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry.”
Randy now plans on focusing on his company, Dream Merchant 21. He stated he’d also like to pursue other business ventures as well.
Idol fans will miss ya, Randy!
But maybe it’s better to leave now than later with all the ratings drops, right??
