Scientists Want To 3-D Print A Human Heart! The Future Is On Its Way!

Scientists want to 3-D print a working human heart! That's so cool!
Ever since 3-D printers hit the market, everyone has been trying to print all sorts of crazy things!
Sometimes people use the printers to help others and sometimes they use them to amaze us with awesome food!
Doctors are now trying to 3-D print a human heart! That’s nuts!
It’s not the craziest thing ever since scientists have already 3-D printed veins, heart valves and even a freakin’ human ear!
Basically, the goal is to be able to use a person’s own cells as the “ink” and then they can build them a new heart that’s made up of them same stuff as them!
The printer uses a gel and the person’s cells to make the structure and the cells eventually grow together and form the bond.
That means no more anti-rejection drugs, which keep the body from rejecting a foreign object like a donor heart.
It’s still almost a decade away from actually being something we could test on a patient, but it’s still very exciting.
Go, science!!
