Someone got in trouble!
Zayn Malik has been the talk of Hollywood all Friday thanks to the premiere of his first song as a solo artist, but it sounds to us like he may have been told by his people to ease up on the One Direction slamming.
After a rather salacious interview with Zane Lowe for Beats 1, the 23-year-old’s follow-up radio chat was about 50 times nicer.

The Mind of Mine soloist spoke to Ryan Seacrest on the air Friday morning about his Pillowtalk video with Gigi Hadid, and seemed much more grateful for his time with 1D, saying:
“It went really quick and a lot kind of happened, so it kind of took its time to sink in, but I wasn’t going to be an idiot and say no.
I’m massively grateful for that, and if it wasn’t for that, I wouldn’t be here. It’s not because I’m trying to be more successful or as successful as what was going on before, because there’s no comparison. I was in the biggest boy band in the world and I loved what we did as a boy band.
That’s what makes this so exciting for me, because I’m in control of it now.”
You’ve sure got a good PR team, Zayn! LOLz!!!
Sure… he didn’t say the band by name, but we’re sure this will more than appease Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson, not to mention all the Directioners out there.
