How sweet.

Both ex-lovers of Yankee player Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez, Madonna took it upon herself to comfort a despondent looking Kate Hudson about her recent break-up at the New York premiere of Hudson's new film Nine.

During the after-party at M2 in Chelsea, the gals were spotted having a quiet heart-to-heart. A source says, "When the cameras were on Kate she was all smiles. But privately you could tell she has had her heart broken."

Kate also flew in her mother Goldie Hawn for the premiere to engage in a bit of booze therapy sipping on dirty martinis together and hanging out all night.

Another source said of Kate, "It was her big premiere, and she was upset Alex wasn't there to support her."

Aww, don't worry, 'bb!

There will be other movies! And probably many other men!

A source is claiming that the recent news of the Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez's breakup may not be all that recent.

Actually, the insider says that the couple has been split for WEEKS with no one any the wiser. The source says:

"They're over. They've been broken up for a couple of weeks. They just wanted things to die down around them. [Kate and Alex] both seem to totally fine. They decided to move on."

Luckily for them, their split is being considerably downplayed in comparison to another cat's scandals.

Because girlfriend is a DIVA!

Supposedly Yankee Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez was turned off by now ex-girlfriend Kate Hudson's need to be at the center of attention during his baseball games! A friend reveals:

"[Hudson] wanted more camera time each and every game. She would always want to be styled before games and she'd insist on front-row seats.

"It was a turnoff to have a girlfriend who always wanted to be on camera. Alex wanted someone who was more interested in building a long-term relationship than just building their profile."

A-Rod wanted to break up with Kate a MONTH ago, but held off while she promoted her upcoming film Nine. Kate also reportedly smothered A-Rod and wanted to know what he was doing every moment of the day.

The actress was giving A-Rod ultimatums to make the relationship move faster than he would have liked. The friend continues:

"He's just coming off of a 13-year relationship with his ex-wife and a recent divorce. He has two lovely children with his ex-wife, and that requires a certain amount of responsibility. She gave him ultimatums that a newly divorced father can't meet."

But despite everything the pair supposedly ended things pleasantly:

"They're two mature adults. She did take the relationship seriously, and he has a lot of respect for her. They had some really wonderful times together."

If Kate was as obsessed with A-Rod as the "friend" wanted us to think, we don't believe the break-up was amicable for one second!

But we wonder who's up next on the roster for both of these serial daters!

After reportedly breaking it off with now ex-girlfriend Kate Hudson, Alex Rodriguez wasted no time hitting the singles scene in Miami.

We're guessing he believes in the motto "the best way to get over a girl is under another" because it sounds like A-Rod was on the prowl for his next fuck buddy.

According to a spywitness, while he was "at the Armani Exchange dinner, A-Rod didn't eat a thing because he was focused on this cute blonde — who looked a bit like Kate. He literally didn't take his eyes off of her."

He even told one lucky whore lady that he's "definitely single." But it must not have worked because Rodriguez was seen leaving with old pal Ingrid Cesares.

Meanwhile Kate remained in New York and was mum on her marital status while at the Nine luncheon, where she mostly talked about the film.

Well if she can't talk about her latest peen conquest, then what the hell else is she going to talk about?

We give it a couple weeks before Kate rebounds with Owen Wilson.

It seems lovebirds Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez have called it quits!

A-Rod was spotted pAArtying in Miami all weekend while Kate promoted her new movie, Nine. The Yankee player was getting pretty frisky "with two woman" at the Wall Lounge in the W Hotel on Friday night.

“He was acting VERY single, and Kate Hudson was definitely not there,” said a source. “Kate and A-Rod broke up.”

We're surprised it lasted this long!

Actress Kate Hudson is sick and tired of being branded as a "needy" girl, but what do you expect when you've dated half of Hollywood?

"I can't go two months without being pregnant, engaged, or breaking up because I'm too needy, which is always the one they love," she says. "I'm not needy. You kind of have to laugh it off, but it can kind of screw up other things around it."

Kate, who is currently dating Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez of the New York Yankees, is also fed up with being linked to every man she's seen with.

Well, that's because you often are, dear! She continues:

"If I walk out on the street with any man, I'm dating him. I've been dating two of my best friends from high school who are like girls to me. I have a child, and there are people involved, and it's unfair to talk about somebody else, especially when you're not in that place yet to be discussing those things."

Oh, get over it, Kate!

And it was BIG!

Jay-Z rented a mansion in the Dominican Republic resort Casa de Campo for his Scarface-themed 40th birthday and with a star-studded guest list we're sure it was a soiree to remember!

Kanye West, Diddy, Oprah, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Lil' Wayne, Ne-Yo, Kate Hudson, A-Rod and M.I.A. all showed up courtesy of two private jets to celebrate Jay's big day where the sipped on vintage Dom Perignon and Cristal champagne.

Guests had to leave their phones at the door to ensure no pics would leak as well as saying the password "Bye, Bye Blackbird" for admittance. At midnight there was a fireworks display and synchronized swim performance.

Kanye and Diddy were both said to perform as well as Alicia Keys. We wonder if his wife Beyonce took the stage at some point during the evening to serenade her man?

Sounds like one amazing party!
