Prior to her recent arrest earlier this month, it’s now rumored Amber Portwood could have been getting ready to walk down the aisle to wed Andrew Glennon!
The Teen Mom OG star was arrested on felony domestic battery charges, reportedly using a machete in her attack on her baby daddy, but things were seemingly going well between the two before the altercation.

The insider spilled to Us Weekly (below):
“He has spoken about marriage on numerous occasions and has even mentioned a list of possible wedding destinations to the MTV production team in the past. His friends have attested to his faithfulness and genuine intentions with Amber often.”
According to the source, a friend close to the couple shared:
“You can see it by how he looks at her. I wish my husband looked at me like that.”
Yikes, things went downhill QUICK!
Previously, a confidant shared with Us Weekly the reality TV personality “wasn’t just upset out of nowhere,” and “there were things going on between her and Andrew that led to this,” alluding to possible issues in the relationship.
The source then added (below):
“For the most part, [their relationship] has been good, but lately a few issues have popped up that have made her question things and challenge her trust in him. She has been through a lot. She just wants to be able to trust someone, and there have been major issues.”
While it’s unclear what the “major issues” are, an additional insider shared the 29-year-old is currently staying with her mother Tonya amid the domestic drama, while Andrew begins to pursue full custody of their 14-month-old son James.
Despite seeking custody of their child, he doesn’t want to see his baby momma behind bars, the source added:
“The charges against Amber are big but it’s likely they’ll get pled down… Amber and Andrew are still not allowed to communicate. Not until the next court date. But the situation seems to have calmed down a bit.”
It seems there could still be love there between these two and things just got out of hand… but it looks like Andrew just wants what’s best for their son while Amber gets the help she needs.
The publication noted the reality TV starlet skipped out on the recent filming of the Teen Mom OG season 8 reunion taping:
“Amber’s trying to get things together in her life and she wasn’t able to attend… She’s dealing with the situation and her most important thing is her family.”
That’s probably a good call, she needs to focus on herself and her issues!! We hope things settle down soon for the sake of James!
