Britney Spears Spent OVER $1 Million In Conservatorship Legal Fees In 2019!!

britney spears spending habits revealed

Britney Spears‘ spending habits have been revealed, including how much was spent on her legal fees amid her conservatorship back and forth! Even for a pop star, it’s A LOT of money!

According to documents obtained by E! News, the 38-year-old paid her advisors and attorneys a whopping $1,202,504,30 in 2019, not including Jamie Spears‘ $128,000 salary for his role as conservator.

As you’ll recall, Brit’s dad stepped down from his role in September 2019, citing “personal health reasons,” though the timing of it all came after a reported physical altercation with his grandson Sean Federline. While the 68-year-old was still overseeing his daughter’s finances and estate, her care manager Jodi Montgomery filled in as the day-to-day conservator until January 2020.

In addition to the money spent on legal fees, nearly the same amount (almost $1 million) was spent on residential expenses, likely used in part to repair her home gym following two fires. Another large expense listed on the docs was travel, which included locations such as Turks and Caicos and Miami for $91,242.01.

An undisclosed weekly allowance was also given to the momma of two to spend at her discretion, with her favorite stores including Target, Amazon, Walmart, and Anthropologie. As you’re likely aware, Spears’ finances have been subject to criticism over the years, especially in light of the #FreeBritney movement. While the Hold It Against Me singer has been mum on the hot topic, her father recently gave a rare interview to Page Six about the allegations he regularly faces, stating that not only is it not up to his daughter’s fans to decide her future, but it’s barely up to him:

“All these conspiracy theorists don’t know anything. The world don’t have a clue. It’s up to the court of California to decide what’s best for my daughter. It’s no one else’s business. I love my daughter. I love all my kids. But this is our business. It’s private.”

Dedicated followers have continued to press the issue, insisting that she is being held against her will at home and sending messages to her Instagram followers as a cry for help, all of which Jamie says is fake news and dangerous:

“People are being stalked and targeted with death threats. It’s horrible.”

The father of three also denied that he is skimming any money from the Grammy winner, reiterating annual expense reports as proof:

“I have to report every nickel and dime spent to the court every year. How the hell would I steal something?”

A hearing is coming up to determine whether Brit’s 12-year conservatorship will be extended further. One thing we know, we can’t imagine she’s thrilled to have her personal details, like her finances, made public via the court. Thoughts??
