Kylie Jenner’s IG follower count has continued to plummet over the past few days as she’s been branded a “mean girl” for teaming up with Hailey Bieber to shade Selena Gomez! Just how many followers has she lost? Nearly ONE MILLION!!!
If she hasn’t hit a mil yet, she’s certainly close enough for Instagram itself to round it up! The follower count on her bio used to read 380M, and as of this writing it’s down to 379M!
The most recent tracking we saw had the loss closer to 800,000, but that was over a day ago. And we already know it was 300k on Saturday. The number could easily have gone up over a mil by now. We guess enough folks just can’t stand a bully. It’ll be inneresting to see if Kylie’s billionaire businesswoman instincts kick in and she actually tries to stem the bleeding with an apology or about-face.
At least she’ll probably reconsider her social media interactions from now on!
For Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber, social media followers are practically currency.
So when drama kicks up and shady s**t hits the fan — and followers start fleeing from your accounts — it’s a PROBLEM!
That’s exactly what is happening to the two A-list social influencers right now, in fact. As Perezcious readers will recall, this little (but growing) issue is coming on the heels of the duo’s alleged shady shot(s) at Selena Gomez in several ugly instances that bubbled up last week!

So, y’all are no doubt in the loop on the drama going on between Kylie, Hailey, Selena, and even Taylor Swift. It started last week when Kylie and Hail appeared to shade Selena in a new clip following an eyebrow mishap Gomez had acknowledged on her own socials. Kylie said there was no beef, but fans were NOT buying it! Then an old, resurfaced video appeared to show Justin Bieber‘s wife gagging at the mention of Swift’s name. Swifties didn’t care for that — and neither did Selena when she commented defending her bestie!
Two catty moments in a week, and fans were off to the races!! We knew things were bad after Selena herself took to TikTok and said she wasn’t going to hang out on her social channels much anymore. Then, we knew things got worse when Hailey’s next Instagram post saw her limiting comments to avoid a flood of angry Selenators!!!
And now, we know the FULL extent of how bad the social drama has gotten for the 26-year-old Baldwin daughter and the 25-year-old KarJenner mogul. Over the weekend, tea accounts across the ‘net began noticing Hailey and Kylie’s social channels were being purged of fans.
On Saturday morning, one Twitter tracker claimed Hailey had lost 200,000 IG followers while Kylie had lost another 300,000. And yet Selena had gained nearly four million (!!) in that same time:

The deepening divide only got bigger through the weekend, too!
By Monday morning, The Tab reported Hailey and Kylie have now lost a combined 800,000 followers on their Instagram channels after the Selena snafu. That outlet cited Social Blade data claiming Kylie’s follower decline began in earnest back on Wednesday of last week. On that day, she lost 124,711 followers. She saw an increase on Thursday, but as the drama went into overdrive on Friday, another 180,497 ditched her. By the end of this past weekend, the Kylie Cosmetics mogul is down 459,246 IG followers from where she was a week ago.

The media org reports Hailey’s trend line has been similar: down more than 22,000 followers on Thursday, and another big chunk on Friday. Then, on Saturday, the Rhode Skin mogul lost a whopping 175,309 followers. The sum total for her is more than 350,000 followers gone by Monday morning.
Yikes!!!
We get what you’re thinking: Kylie has 379 million IG fans, and Hailey has 50 million. What’s the big deal if they each lose a few hundred thousand? And that’s true! It’s not like the girls are going to go to zero. LOLz! But the rate at which they are dropping right now is SUPER rare. Clearly, the two BFFs touched a nerve with their apparent treatment of Selena (and Taylor, TBH).
