Lily, the avalanche rescue dog is in training at Park City Mountain Resort. And she’s only nine weeks old!
Once she’s trained, Lily will spend about 10 years working on the mountains.
What is the process behind training a rescue dog? Do they ease her into it, or does she just start rescuing people from the get go?
Here’s what the dog trainer said:
├óΓé¼┼ôJust socialization, and getting used to being on the mountain and basic obedience. It won├óΓé¼Γäót be until next year that we do a little more training directed toward avalanche search and rescue. And hopefully by this time next year she├óΓé¼Γäóll be a full-fled avalanche rescue dog.”
We never knew that life savers could be so cute!!!
We almost wish our life was in danger and we needed to be rescued, just so our rescuer could be that lovable ball of fur.
