Lori Loughlin is up against charges which could actually put her in prison for the rest of her life. Not only that — she could also wind up in mom jail.
The Fuller House star is accused of paying USC officials $500,000 to put her daughters on the crew team — ensuring their conditional admission to the university as athletes — despite the fact they didn’t row crew. Not only that, according to the indictment she did so through a fake charity.
For those keeping track, she’s now on the hook for fraud, bribery, and money laundering.

Of the 50 people busted in the infamous college admissions scandal, she and hubby Mossimo Giannulli are two of the final eleven parents who are standing their ground, refusing to plead guilty despite the mountain of evidence against them.
That means we’re looking at a very messy, very public trial — something which could cause even more strain between Lori and her daughters.
From the start of this scandal, Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli have been getting a lot of negative attention, especially as it’s come out how little the girls, or at least the youngest, seemed to value the college education their parents are accused of stealing for them.
If this does go to trial, which is looking like a foregone conclusion at this point, they will be put in the spotlight even more — as they’ll almost certainly be called as witnesses.
Considering how much information they must have had about the alleged scam — posing for fake rowing pics, seeing documentation about their athlete status, etc. — they’re probably going to have to testify against their parents.
A source tells Us Weekly Lori is well aware of this and all too worried what it will do to her girls:
“She knows she has caused so much damage to her daughters’ lives and reputations and knows a trial would only make it worse.”
It seems to us they’re lucky they aren’t being charged themselves. Just sayin’.
As for how the girls themselves are feeling, the insider confirms they’re “really upset with” their mom over dragging this to trial.
We’ve heard before how Olivia in particular has been upset about how all this will affect her budding career as a YouTuber and Instagram influencer.
It sounds lately they ought to be upset with their poppa. According to sources close to the fam, he was the one who persuaded Lori not to take a guilty plea even though everyone else wanted her to — especially after the relative slap on the wrist Felicity Huffman faced, spending eleven whole days in a “Club Fed” luxury prison.
