Every once in a while, momma nature puts on a gladiator match of epic proportions.
While we’d prefer it if animals were just best friends all the time, like so many sloths and kittens on the internet, life just isn’t that sparkly.
So, even though we’re not amped up about it, we kinda can’t look away when we hear that a giant python fought a crocodile.
We’re pretty sure there have been crappy movies made on that very subject.
Tiffany Corlis was just enjoying her breakfast near Mount Isa one sunday morning in North West Queensland, Australia when the EPIC BATTLE went down.
So, she grabbed her camera and started snapping just as the python started to strangle the croc to death!
After the five hour battle, Tiffany said:
“[The crocodile] was fighting at the start, so it was trying to keep its head out of water and survive. Finally, the croc sort of gave in and the snake had uncoiled for a little while and had a brief break and then actually started to consume the crocodile. It was just unbelievable. We were sort of thinking that the snake had bitten off a little more than it could chew. But it did. It actually ate the crocodile.”
Poor croc! He didn’t stand a chance against that giant snake!
We have no idea how this snake even managed to survive eating something as crazy huge as a croc.
Must’ve been terrifying to witness. We’re just glad it wasn’t us!
