Glenn Close's Childhood Was Marred By The RELIGIOUS CULT She Grew Up In!

We had NO idea!!!
Glenn Close may be the greatest actress around not named Meryl Streep, but we had NO idea how scary her childhood was!!!
The star revealed how she grow up in a religious cult called Moral Re-Armament that was led by a terrifying and “violently anti-intellectual and possibly homophobic evangelical fundamentalist” man named Frank Buchman.
Here’s what she said:

“You basically weren’t allowed to do anything, or you were made to feel guilty about any unnatural desire. If you talk to anybody who was in a group that basically dictates how you’re supposed to live and what you’re supposed to say and how you’re supposed to feel, from the time you’re 7 till the time you’re 22, it has a profound impact on you. It’s something you have to [consciously overcome] because all of your trigger points are [wrong].”

Wow!
That sounds awful!
Kind of amazing that Glenn was able to overcome that horrible experience, and still became the ah-mazing lady that she is today!

Hopefully she’ll talk more about this experience someday – even though it sounds terrifying, it also sounds really interesting!!!
