GaGa Has Another #1 Song!

ap090930036299lg.jpg

She's unstoppable!

Lady GaGa has the #1 song on mainstream radio in America this week with Paparazzi.

Insiders tells us that Gagita is the ONLY artist to have FOUR #1s from a debut album since the start of monitored airplay charts!

Pretty impressive, don't you think?

We bet she gets to FIVE singles with Bad Romance!

Congrats, Gagaloo!

Taylor Swift Keeps Breaking Records!

wenn5377363ts.jpg

She's just not slowing down!

Taylor Swift officially has Billboard's longest charting album of this century with her self-titled debut country album.

Taylor Swift was first released in October 2006 and now in its 157th week in the Top 200 albums chart beating out previous record-holder Nickelback.

Nickelback?! Really?!

If Taylor Swift has done this well, we can't wait to see how Fearless ends up doing!

Congratulations, 'bb! You're a true talent!

The Backstreet Boys Are Still Around

And, surprisingly, they are making good music!

Check out the video for their very pretty mid-tempo new single, Bigger, above.

If this came out 10 years ago, it'd be a huge hit for them!

Spice Girls To Perform At 2012 Olympics!!!!

wenn4285spice.jpg

It's been reported that the Spice Girls will be performing at the opening ceremony for the 2012 Olympics in London!

With Posh back on board!!!!

We're dying!!!!!

The Girls' manager, Simon Fuller, says the quintet (Posh, Scary, Sporty, Ginger and Baby) could possibly schedule their reunion/final tour to coincide with the Olympic Games.

"They stand for so much in British music history and I can't think of a better time for them to get back together for another performance," says Fuller. "The demand for them as a band is as strong as ever."

Fuller believes the girls will be ready to retire their Spice personalities come the 2012 Games, as the group "will not want to be performing hits like Wannabe in their 40's."

But we'd love to see them performing in their full Spice Girls get up in their 60's and 70's!

Ha!

The gals are expected to be present at the celebration 1,000 days prior to the Games, although no word whether or not they will be performing at the celebration.

Are U excited????

Disaster? Kelly Clarkson Working On Something "Different" For Next Album

wenn2578320kc.jpg

Kelly Clarkson revealed in a new radio interview that she's already begun working on her 5th studio album and says that it's going to be "really different."

Uh, oh. She's made that mistake before! Remember the disaster that was My December?

Kelly also said she may not have time to write the whole album as she's touring to promote her latest album All I Ever Wanted until March 2010.

"If I end up liking stuff that I've done then I'll include it, but if I like other stuff better I'll use that. Sometimes you're just more inspired I guess, and sometimes if you have records that come ou really close together it might be more other people's songs. Because there's not enough time to write and sing and perform and do everything."

It's good to have others helping you, Kelly. Hopefully you can reach a happy medium, but make sure you heed your label's advice!

You may not like it, but they know what they're talking about!

U2's Record-Breaking Concert Stream!

wenn2586756.jpg

U2's concert on Sunday may have been at the Rose Bowl in Southern California, but it was seen all over the world - on YouTube!

The live webcast was watched by nearly 10 million people, which was touted "a big win" for the company.

That would be an understatement, considering the 2 1/2 hour concert was YouTube's largest streaming event ever!!! And the rebroadcast has been watched by more than 1.1 million viewers!

So, maybe U2's overpriced set was worth it!

Mr. Schuester Is Going Solo

wenn5352807mm.jpg

We think all you Gleeks are going to love this!

There's been rumors of solo records from different members of the Glee cast, including Lea Michele. And, now Matthew Morrison has confirmed he'll be doing one of his own!

Describing the sound as Justin Timberlake meets Michael Buble, Morrison explains:

“Right now, I’ve almost finalized a record deal and am going to be working on an album. It’s going to be different…It’s going to be me and a big orchestra, but also with beats. I want to be like the next Gene Kelly. I want to kind of do it all. I want to have a career in movies, television, music and Broadway – but have them all be separate, their own entities."

Sounds good to us, but will Matthew be joining the Glee kids on their rumored summer 2010 tour?

“You probably know as much as I do about it. I just read about it online. I don’t think I’m going to be involved in that. Mr. Schuester likes to take his summer break.”

Aww! You'll be missed, but it seems like you'll be pretty busy anyway!

Will U buy Morrison's solo album?

Rob Zombie Quits Record Label

wenn2543944rz.jpg

After being with Geffen Records for 18 years, Rob Zombie is leaving the label and moving on to Roadrunner Records.

Zombie claims that Geffen didn't give him enough time to promote his new album, Hellbilly Deluxe 2, before it's November 9th release. We think he might be right because it's the first we've heard of it.

Under Roadrunner the album will hit shelves sometime next year giving the rocker ample time to get the word out.

Zombie says:

"It certainly wasn't an easy decision to make after all this time, but it had to be done. I love this new record and wanted to surround myself with an excited new group of people who can reignite my enthusiasm for working within a hard rock record label. Roadrunner seems to be the perfect place."

Sometimes change is a good thing!
