On Monday, the singer took to Facebook to post an video updating fans and answering some questions. As you probably know, Garth was asked by TMZ over a month ago about performing at Trump's event and the 54-year-old said he would if it worked out. Brooks explained businessman Steve Wynn made the Grammy winner a formal offer, but since the artist is in the middle of a two-year world tour, he told Wynn he would "leave it up to karma." And no, that's not a stripper in Vegas. HA!
After Garth's ticket sales caused him to add three shows in Cincinnati, the Friends in Low Places singer could not commit to the inauguration.
Seeing as how our future POTUS just lost ANOTHER performer after the Bruce Springsteen cover band bailed, we're curious how the whole event is going to shake out!
Ch-ch-check out Garth's video (below) to hear all his updates and the singer's thoughts on Trump's inauguration around the 4:30 mark!
