Bob Harper & The Biggest Loser Producers Clap Back At Former Contestant's Allegations She Was Drugged To Lose Weight
The Biggest Loser is in some hot water!
The NBC reality weight-loss competition show — which just wrapped its 17th (!) season of television — is being accused of drugging contestants in an effort to help them lose weight extremely quickly to make good television.
Former contestant Joelle Gwynn, who competed on the show in 2008, told the New York Post this weekend that she was given a bizarre drug of some sort at one point on the show and it harmed her health at the time.
San Diego Padres Baseball Team Accused Of Homophobia After National Anthem Mistake Involving The City's Gay Men's Chorus
Drama down in San Diego — and it's getting icky.
The San Diego Gay Men's Chorus was all set to sing the National Anthem on Saturday night at the San Diego Padres' MLB game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but things went very wrong very quickly — and now, here comes the fall out.
The chorus, which brought one hundred singers to the game to sing the anthem, was trotted out into center field to perform — but something went wrong with the public address system at the team's home stadium, Petco Park.
At the start of their song, a recording of women singing the National Anthem was played over the loudspeaker, and it was never stopped.
The chorus then had to walk off the field after not being able to perform, and the group alleges they faced chants of "you sing like a girl" from the fans while leaving the stadium in shame.
Furthermore, the chorus alleges that the event almost didn't happen in the first place, as the Padres tried to make the entire group buy tickets to the game before they were able to perform.
More On Why Whitney Houston's Estate Nixed The Christina Aguilera Duet On The Voice — Find Out What Bothered Them About The Hologram!
UPDATE 5:11 P.M. ET: Aguilera has now weighed in on Houston's estate nixing the hologram duet, releasing a statement on Friday afternoon:
"I was honored that the Houston family asked me to perform a duet with the legendary Whitney Houston on The Voice. Sadly the technology could not meet up to the talent that Whitney possessed, but I do know in time the performance the fans and I have been hoping for will come to life."
Just as soon as it leaked… it was gone!
Last night we got a look at the much-ballyhooed Whitney Houston hologram that was set to debut as part of a duet alongside Christina Aguilera on The Voice's season finale next week, but it looks like that's all been nixed!
Just hours after footage of the late singer's hologram and performance alongside Aguilera leaked on Facebook, Pat Houston — Whitney's sister-in-law and the executor of her estate — announced that they will NOT allow it to air on TV!
The vid — which has since been deleted from the social network — was a snippet of Aguilera belting out I Have Nothing before introducing the hologram of a much younger Houston, at which point the two stars sung I'm Every Woman together with the late great singer even going through a hologram costume change.
But it wasn't meant to be…
Pat dropped a statement regarding the hologram, making special note that it seemed to be an issue with the image's technology, and not something surrounding Christina (below):
