Remember That Chain-Smoking 2-Year-Old From Indonesia? Now He's A Healthy, Cig-Free Fourth Grader!

Ardi Rizal is now living a life free of addiction.

The 9-year-old Indonesian boy became a viral sensation back in 2010 when he was just a tricycle-riding, cig-puffing 2-year-old with a habit of smoking two packs a day (pictured above).

Embarrassed Indonesian government officials brought the child into rehab two years later where he managed to kick the smoking habit — but he soon replaced it with another vice.

According to reports, the boy then developed a food addiction and, by the age of 5, weighed 53 pounds — 13 pounds heavier than the recommended weight for a child his age.

Rizal's mother said he would consume three cans of condensed milk a day and other fatty foods. The boy would bang his head on the wall, a tic he picked up while smoking, if he didn't get his fix.

While it was first believed that Simon died in the cargo hold of a trans-continental United flight, a spokesperson for the airline defends the rabbit was alive upon landing in the Windy City. According to United rep Charles Hobart, the animal passed away in a pet holding facility at the airport. Is this their way of saying it isn't their fault??

To make matters worse, Simon's cause of death is to remain unsolved as Hobart noted:

United Airlines Introduces New Policy Changes & Will Offer Up To $10K For Passengers To Give Up Their Seats

United Airlines offers ten new policy changes.

United Airlines is still determined to do right by its customers.

The airline company has released a list of ten policy changes that should hopefully keep violent incidents like Dr. David Dao's from ever happening again.

A statement on the company website read:

"The changes are the result of United's thorough examination of its policies and procedures, and commitment to take action, in the wake of the forced removal of a customer aboard United Express Flight 3411 on April 9."

We're glad they're taking full responsibility now after their initial shaky reaction to the whole ordeal. CEO Oscar Munoz's blaming of the passenger was total BS!

Now, the airline will only remove passengers if there is a safety or security issue, ensure crew members are booked onto the flight at least an hour before departure, work to reduce overbooking, and offer up to $10K to entice passengers to give up their seats if necessary.

It sucks that a man had to suffer a concussion, break his nose, and lose two front teeth for these policy changes to take place, but we suppose it's better late than never.
