Malin Akerman Brings Back Peplum On The Golden Globes Red Carpet!

| Filed under: Fashion SmashionGolden GlobesRed CarpetReem Acra

Malin Ackerman

Ice princess!

Just when we thought the peplum days were long gone, Malin Akerman brought it back on Sunday night while strolling down the Golden Globes red carpet.

And we gotta say, we could do without the extra fabric!

The form-fitting lavender Reem Acra gown would have been much better sans the doily around the waist, in our opinion. She's got such an amazing figure — flaunt it, girl!

We do love her slick backed bun and matching Fiona Kotur clutch.

Overall, we don't hate it but we don't absolutely love it either! Which way R U leaning, Perezcious readers??

But The Hollywood Foreign Press Association sort of made up for it, because the USA Network hacker drama just won Best TV Series Drama!

With so many great dramas on TV this year, the category was a tight race — the freshman series beat out Empire, Game Of Thrones, Narcos, and Outlander!

In a touching speech, series creator Sam Esmail thanked his talented cast along with fiancé Emmy Rossum – so sweet!

Wow. Just… damn, Ricky Gervais!

The Golden Globes host once again introduced Mel Gibson — following his evisceration of the Braveheart star in 2011 — with jokes about his drinking and anti-semitic remarks.

Mel, who was there to present the Best Drama-nominated reboot Mad Max: Fury Road btw, responded with a jab of his own — and a threat!

Ch-ch-check out the NSFW but overzealously bleeped* back-and-forth to see how it all went down (above)!

| Filed under: Music MinuteFilm FlickersAwardzGolden GlobesSam Smith

There's just something about those James Bond songs!

Three years ago, reigning music queen Adele won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture for Skyfall, and now Sam Smith is continuing that trend!

The soulful singer and his co-writer Jimmy Napes took home the trophy for the same award at this year's ceremony for Spectre's theme, Writing's On The Wall!

In the process, they beat out pop powerhouses Max Martin (Love Me Like You Do from Fifty Shades of Grey) and Charlie Puth (See You Again from Furious 7), as well as songwriters Brian Wilson and Scott Bennett (One Kind of Love from Love and Mercy), and David Lang (Simple Song #3 from Youth).
