Reportedly, French comedian Laurent Lafitte, who served as the event's master of ceremonies, shocked the audience by calling out the controversial director before the premiere of Allen's new film Cafe Society.
Now that Game Of Thrones has officially outpaced the novels it's based on, showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff agreed that the HBO fantasy series would deviate from George R.R. Martin's source material.
And in a new excerpt from Martin's newest novel The Winds of Winter, it's clear they weren't kidding around!
The newest book in the Song Of Ice and Fire series features several storylines and major characters that fans of the show haven't even met before!
For example, the latest chapter is told from the perspective of Princess Arienne Martell of Dorne, an important point-of-view character in the novels who doesn't even exist in the show!
In the books, Airenne is the eldest daughter of Prince Doran Martell — who was suddenly killed off in the Season 6 premiere episode — and the heiress to House Martell's seat at Sunspear, the capital of Dorne.
Aside from Airenne, the new passage is riddled with characters and plotlines that never made GoT — which swapped out Doran's meticulously crafted revenge plot (yawn!) for Ellaria's cutthroat takeover with the Sand Snakes (all minor characters in the books)!
Check out a passage from the excerpt (below) to find out just how far Martin's books have deviated from the Emmy-winning series!
Instagram has made some changes to their look…
The popular photo sharing app has officially changed its logo from the classic camera to a new purple, orange, and pink icon (above) along with a few minor cosmetic changes.
The new design, which includes some other color changes to the interface, is a reflection of how the app — originally called "Burbn" — has changed and evolved over the years, especially since Facebook bought them for $1 billion about four years ago!
A spokesperson for IG spoke about the change saying:
"We've been inspired by all the ways the community has grown and changed, and we wanted to create something that reflects how vibrant and diverse storytelling on Instagram has become."
It's important to change up your style once in a while!
